รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.อภิรดี เกษมศุข คณบดีคณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ และ รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.สญชัย ลบแย้ม หัวหน้าภาควิชาการออกแบบและวางผังชุมชนเมือง ได้ร่วมเป็นเจ้าภาพในพิธีลงนามบันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือ (MOU) ระหว่างสามหน่วยงาน ได้แก่ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร สำนักงานส่งเสริมเศรษฐกิจดิจิทัล (depa) และ บริษัท Dassault Systèmes โดยมี ฯพณฯ Jean-Claude Poimboeuf เอกอัครราชทูตฝรั่งเศสประจำประเทศไทย ให้เกียรติร่วมงานนี้ เมื่อวันที่ 9 กรกฎาคม พ.ศ. 2567 ณ หอศิลปะสถาปัตยกรรมพระพรหมพิจิตร คณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร
ความร่วมมือครั้งนี้มีระยะเวลา 3 ปี โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อพัฒนาบุคลากรและเทคโนโลยีดิจิทัลสำหรับการวางผังและพัฒนาเมืองอัจฉริยะในประเทศไทย โดยมี รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.สุชาดา พิริยะประสาธน์ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายพัฒนาคุณภาพองค์กร มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ณัฐพล นิมมานพัชรินทร์ ผู้อำนวยการใหญ่ สำนักงานส่งเสริมเศรษฐกิจดิจิทัล และ Mr. Samson Khaou, Executive Vice President of Dassault Systèmes Asia Pacific เป็นผู้แทนลงนามในนามของแต่ละหน่วยงาน
ความร่วมมือในครั้งนี้จะครอบคลุมถึงการพัฒนาหลักสูตรอบรมด้านการวางแผนและผังการพัฒนาเมืองอัจฉริยะ (Smart City) รวมถึงความร่วมมือในการพัฒนาโครงสร้างพื้นฐานดิจิทัล เพื่อให้การให้บริการวิชาการ การวิจัย และการให้คำปรึกษา เพื่อขับเคลื่อนการพัฒนาเมืองอัจฉริยะในประเทศไทยอย่างยั่งยืน
