1. To produce graduates with knowledge and good understanding of urban design and related fields 
2. To build up knowledge so as to help raise the level of academic and professional standards in urban design 
3. To produce graduates with ethical and responsible mindset concerning urban design 

 

Eligibility to Apply

1. Applicants must possess the qualifications prescribed for each type of study plan as follows:

Plan A1 

Bachelor’s degree in architecture, urban architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, or a related discipline with good study results (grade point average of not lesss than 3.20) and potential for carrying out research work, or subject to deliberation at the discretion of the Program Operating Committee 

Plan A2 and Plan B

Bachelor’s degree in architecture, urban architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, or a related discipline with good study results and potential for carrying out design work with analytical mind, subject to deliberation at the discretion of the Program Operating Committee 

2.Possess the qualities stipulated under Article 7 of Silpakorn University Graduate Studies Regulations, 2023 and/or subsequent changes thereof.

Structure of the Curriculum

Plan A1 Thesis only (equivalent of 36 credits)

Compulsory course non-credit 3 credits
Thesis  equivalent to 36 credits

Plan A2 Coursework plus Thesis (total of 36 credits)

Compulsory course non-credit 3 credits
Compulsory courses a number of 24 credits
Thesis  equivalent to 12 credits

Plan B Coursework plus Independent Study (minimum total of 36 credits) – this plan requires taking Comprehensive Exam after having accumulated a number of not less than 30 credits 

Compulsory courses a number of 27 credits
Elective courses not less than 3 credits
Independent Study  equivalent to 6 credits
